Drew Jonke grew up in a suburb of Cleveland, OH. He was raised Lutheran but was invited to a gospel preaching Independent Baptist church for the first time in 2003, and was saved at age 20 in 2004. Two years later he was baptized and began serving the Lord. He was called to preach in 2007 and enrolled in Heritage Baptist Institute to be trained for the ministry.
Church is where Drew met Alyssa, whose parents are in full-time ministry, and whom he married in 2012, shortly after graduating. Alyssa was saved at age five, is a graduate of West Coast Baptist College, and has been involved in Christian service for as long as she can remember.
Drew served on the pastoral staff of Cleveland Baptist Church and in its Christian school for two years until the Lord called them to Vancouver, WA, where they went in 2014 to assist in the ministry of Majesty Baptist. The Jonkes were privileged to be closely involved with the growth of the young church, which called Bro. Drew as its second pastor in 2019.
Pastor Drew’s burden is to see the lost converted to Christ, to help believers grow in the faith through preaching, discipleship, service, and fellowship, and to see churches reproduce churches.
